Blair ruled out of Australia clash

Mike Blair forced to miss Australia clash with ankle injury
SCOTLAND co-captain Mike Blair has been ruled out of Scotland’s autumn international clash with Australia after failing a late fitness test.
The Edinburgh scrum-half was stretchered from the field with an injured ankle during last weekend’s victory over Fiji at Murrayfield.
After failing to bounce back to fitness in time, the 28-year-old will be replaced in the squad by Gloucester’s Rory Lawson.
Lawson steps up from the A squad to take Blair’s place on the bench for Scotland’s second autumn international against the Wallabies.
Blair missed training on Monday and Tuesday before returning at the back end of the week, however he was unable to fully recover.
