Mike Blair sets minimum standard for Scotland players
Mike Blair insists Scotland have to start delivering on their potential in next year’s Six Nations.
With Andy Robinson in charge, Scotland supporters are hopeful that they can finish in the top half of the table for the first time since 2006.
And scrum-half Blair – who toured with the Lions this summer – is adamant they need to back up their promises on the pitch.
He said: “Last year there were some disappointing aspects of our play, we were in games but couldn’t quite finish them off.
“So I think it’s time we get over this fact that we’re the nearly-team and talking about potential and finally get around to realising that potential.
“Every game we went into, we felt we could win that game. The quality of the teams in the Six Nations means that anyone can win the games.
“It makes it a really tough tournament but it’s a great tournament to be part of.”
