Andy Robinson pleased with Scottish performance after first game in charge
Recently-appointed boss Andy Robinson insists it was a case of job well done after watching Scotland second-string ease to victory over Russia.
Robinson, who was appointed as the new Scotland coach earlier this month, saw his troops chalk up eight tries to Russia?s solitary late effort in a convincing 49-7 victory.
Jim Thompson and Scott Lawson both crossed twice, while Rob Dewey, Ally Kellock, Ben Cairns and captain Chris Cusiter also touched down.
"You always judge every little aspect. That's part of being a coach, but I was pleased at the way the team approached it," Robinson said.
"Scoring from the first play was quality and we had a good attitude throughout.
"It's not always going to be perfect and there's lots to work on, such as the decision making with our off-loads.
"Technically, we've got work to do at the breakdown and that's not going to be solved overnight or even in four or five weeks but I was pleased with the players' mentality."
