

Premiership round-up - Currie make mincemeat out of West
Currie continued their perfect start to Scottish Premiership One season with a 56-18 demolition of West of Scotland.
Elliot McLaren scored a hat-trick for the visitors but it was not enough to match the hosts’ nine-try haul while second-placed Ayr maintained their pursuit of the leaders after a 47-17 victory over Selkirk.
Glasgow Hawks scored six tries in their 43-12 win against Edinburgh Acads, Melrose beat Watsonians 42-27, Boroughmuir saw off Dundee HSFP 26-25 and Heriot’s downed Stewart’s Melville FP 24-21.
In Scottish Premiership Two Stirling County scored eight unanswered tries to stay top after a comprehensive 62-3 win over Peebles.
The win kept Aberdeen GSFP in second spot by a point despite their 28-3 defeat of GHA 28-3 while Jed-Forest threw away a 21 points lead to draw 24-24 at Hawick.
Elsewhere Simeon James scored a hat-trick as Biggar pulled off an impressive 37-13 away win at Kirkcaldy, Kelso lost 17-11 at home to Haddington and Gala beat Dunfermline 28-3.
And in the pick of the Scottish Premiership Three clashes Hillhead/Jordanhill went top after a 55-6 win over Morgan Academy FP.
