Scottish hopes dashed

Wales' win scuppers Scottish chances of Home Nations Championship
Scotland’s hopes of winning the Home Nations Championship for the first time disappeared with a 32-12 defeat by holders Wales in Nelson.
Matthew Hutchings scored two quick tries for Wales, with Paul Emanuelli converting for a 10-0 lead.
The Scots fought back with a try by Edinburgh prop John Cox but Liam Williams went over to put Wales 16-6 up at the break.
Cox went over soon after half-time to close the gap again for Gus McNab’s depleted side, only for Wales to pull away in the later stages. Tries by Byron Williams, Grant Epton and Paul Boden secured it, and Emanuelli added two goals.
