Graham Steadman urges Scotland to create a Super League Club
Former Castleford boss Graham Steadman, now plying his trade with the Scottish rugby union, insists Edinburgh is crying out for a rugby league franchise of its own.
In recent years France has been integrated into Super League with the Catalan Dragons, while Wales were added into the competition in the close season for the very first time with the Celtic Crusaders.
This weekend Murrayfield will host Super League's Magic Weekend, where all 14 sides in the league will be on show.
And Steadman is convinced Scotland and in particular Edinburgh is crying out for some representation in Super League next season.
"The big thing about this weekend is that's spreading the gospel of rugby league," said Steadman. "Hopefully down the road they will be looking to have a Super League club in Scotland.
"This weekend is a great thing all round for the SRU, for Scotland, for the RFL and for Super League and it means they promoting the game."
