Super League delighted with Murrayfield experiment
The Rugby Football League has claimed its Magic Weekend in Edinburgh was a runaway success.
All 14 teams traveled to Murrayfield and seven Super League matches were played over two days, with 60,000 in attendance.
RFL chief executive Nigel Wood said: "It's certainly been well-attended and the standard of play on the field has been excellent. It's been a great spectacle for all concerned - fans and players alike."
And the RFL remain confident that next year's road-show - also in Edinburgh - will prove to be a similar success.
"We're back here next year - it's a two-year arrangement and we're certain that it's very popular with fans," Wood said.
"We'll do some research and consultation with supporters groups and clubs to see if there are any tweaks to the schedule or improvements we can make but on the whole I think we're pretty satisfied we've got a formula that's attractive."
