Scots battle past Lebanon to claim Euro final place
Mick Nanyn's trusty boot ensured Scotland qualified for the European Cup final courtesy of a hard-fought victory over Lebanon.
Nanyn was on target with all five of his kicks to add to tries from Brendon Lindsay, James Nixon and Kevin Henderson as Scotland ran out 22-10 winners in Glasgow.
In difficult conditions Nanyn gave his side a pivotal platform as Scotland booked their place in the final of the competition for the first time.
"It was as tough as we expected," said Scotland coach Steve McCormack. "And about who would adapt to the conditions the best.
"The win perfectly epitomised the spirit in our camp especially keeping Lebanon at bay when we down by two men, that was a fantastic effort.
"We are not a team full of superstars but we will always work hard for each other. No matter who we play in the Final, we will come up against a well coached side."
