Double gold for Glasgow and Aberdeen

Scotland rowers enjoyed a weekend to remember at the National Rowing Championships, collecting 21 medals, including five golds in Nottingham.

Glasgow Rowing Club led the way with two gold medals coming the lightweight pair and the four, while the Aberdeen Schools Rowing Association also topped the podium twice.

They collected the top prize in the women's junior coxed fours and under-14 double sculls, while the other Scottish gold medallist was Imogen Walsh.

The Clyde rower added the British crown to her Scottish lightweight single sculls title.

Another Clyde rower, Jim Murphy, the Scottish champion, collected silver in the single sculls while Aberdeen University's Stephanie McDowell took bronze in the under-23 singles.

And Inverness also got their hands on some silverware with bronze in the girl's under-14 quad sculls, in a composite with Castle Semple.
