Scott’s winter cheer

Scott Fraser , a medallist at the world university championships, ended the year on a high with victory in the Glasgow Parks Championships at Dawsholm Park.


Representing Interlopers, the 21-year-old Edinburgh University graduate finished ahead of Oleg Chepelin, with Hector Haines in third place. 


Hollie Orr, one of Scotland’s leading juniors, claimed the open women’s title.  Her younger sister, Jessica, was in third place with yet another top youngster, Abi Longhurst, in between.


Robert Patterson won the junior title, while his Mum, Christine, took the veteran women’s award. Dave Robertson won the men’s veteran class.


Claire Macpherson completed the list of champions by winning a special social category.
