Scotland's top stars in action around Europe
Top Scots Jamie Stevenson, Scott Fraser and Mhairi Mackenzie are in Latvia this weekend putting the final touches to their preparations for the European Orienteering Championships, which get underway with the sprint championship on Monday.
Meanwhile, Grampian's Oleg Chapelin and fellow Edinburgh University student Doug Tullie (Roxburgh) compete in Hungary at the "Teams for the Future" Euromeeting event, which once again has brought together the best of the emerging European talent.
And this is also Scottish Championship weekend at Tullochroisk, near Kinloch Rannoch.
Murray Strain (Interlopers) who anchored his club to British relay title success, faces a strong quartet from Edinburgh University, headed by British internationalists Duncan Coombs and Hector Haines in his bid to take the men's elite title.
Sprint title winner Becky Carlyle (Edinburgh Uni) starts as favourite in the women's elite race but faces strong opposition from several other former British team runners.
Edinburgh University can expect to win both the men's and women's open relays on Sunday.
