

Scots tally 13 medals in Scottish Six Day Event
The 71 age-group winners amongst over 3000 competitors at the Scottish Six Day Orienteering event were widely split across the participating countries, with Scotland finishing in third place with 13 medals.
England topped the table with 22, Sweden produced 15, Norway 9, Wales 3, France and Finland 2 each, while Australia, Ireland, Northern Ireland and Switzerland all produce 1.
Aberdeen's former Scottish champion Oleg Chepelin (Grampian) won the men's Scottish Six Day Orienteering title at Tay 2009.
With two wins and two second places out of his six outings, Chepelin finished runner up in Saturday's final race at Loch Ordie near Dunkeld but beat British junior internationalist Hector Haines (Leeds Airienteers/ Edinburgh Univ) into second by overall 5 minutes with his total time of 6h 42mm 25s.
Swedish veteran Cecilia Bratt (Orion), a former world championship gold medalist, chalked up her second win of the week to claim the women's title from York's Heather Gardner again by a comfortable five minute margin.
