Scotland retain crown

Scotland emerged triumphant for a second year in a row at the Senior Home Internationals at Fermanagh in Northern Ireland. 

The team members were Oleg Chepelin,Duncan Coombs,Scott Fraser,Mark Nixon,Murray Strain,Doug Tullie,Allan Cherry,Hector Haines and Alasdair McLeod on the men’s side, with Fiona Berrow,Hazel Dean,Sarah Dunn,Lorna Eades,Jo Stevenson,Kirsten Strain,Hazel Wright and sisters Hollie and Jessica Orr in the women’s line-up.
 
Scotland, winners in Perthshire last year, retained the SHI trophy with England in second spot, Ireland third and Wales fourth.

The vets' team has been named to complete the double by winning the Veterans Home Internationals to be held near Chesterfield next month.

Scotland won the Overall Trophy for the first time last year, when the VHI was held in Northern Ireland.  With a strong team, the aim is to win all three classes – the overall, relay and individual.
