Orienteering novices welcome at Scottish Sprint Championships
The Scottish Sprint Championships are set to take place from Lossiemouth High School on September 26 – and new comers to the sport are more than welcome.
There are five courses planned by Eddie Harwood to suit all age classes and there will be prizes in every category.?
The aim is to attract as many newcomers as possible to the sport, particularly rom running clubs and local schools within the Grampian area.
Elite runners will also be taking part, and will confirm that the sport in Scotland is in good hands at the top level.
Following the championships races, there will be an open-to-all public event. There’s also the enticing prospect of a special extra event at Anagach the next day.?
