Great Scots in Madrid

Rhona MacMillan, who won individual gold in the long distance, led Banchory Academy girls to a bronze medal at the end of a highly successful Scottish performance at the World Schools Championships in Madrid. 

The Scottish Select team finished just outside the medal position in 4th place.

Other great individual results include a bronze medal for Rona Lindsay in the middle distance race.

The Scots that took part were:
D2 Girls School Team (Banchory Academy): Rhona McMillan, Morgan Prihoda,  Jane Lenton, Frances Wright and Jessica Mason?
D2 Girls Select Team: Karen Maxwell, Morven Dean, Rachel Barr, Kirsty Brown and Rona Lindsay?
H2 Boys School Team (Biggar High School): Adam Telfer, Craig McDonald and Alexander Lyon?
H2 Boys Select Team: Craig Nolan, Andrew Lindsay, Christopher Galloway, Adam Hunter and Mark Haley.
