Glasgow Wildcats finish off the bottom of the UK Superleague
Glasgow Wildcats avoided the wooden spoon in their first season in the UK Superleague in spite of losing their final match.
Wildcats went down 52-36 to Northern Thunder after a poor start which saw them adrift 17-2 after the first quarter.
Lesley MacDonald shot 31 goals and Wildcats improved as the game went on.
Bottom club Celtic Dragons lost their final match to Team Northumbria 61-35 which meant Wildcats held on to second-bottom slot.
"We have international competition in four weeks so it was important to get the players more experience at this level," said coach Denise Holland.
"We finished off the bottom and we reduced our losing margin by less and less as the season went on."
