Stuart Easton on the podium again at Snetterton
Hawick flyer Stuart Easton enjoyed a profitable weekend at round five of the ViSK British Superbikes after earning his fifth podium position of the season, this time at Snetterton.
The 25-year-old Hydrex Honda rider was in sensational form in Norfolk on Sunday, claiming a second place finish in race one behind Leon Camier and with it earning 20 BSB championship points in the process, before claiming a plucky fourth in race two.
Easton had one of his characteristic flying starts in race one and held the lead but despite a titanic battle with both of the Airwaves Yamaha riders, Camier and James Ellison; he had to settle for second.
In race two he was not as dangerous and finished in fourth, with Camier claiming a double and Ellison and Josh Brookes grabbing second and third respectively.
"I am happy that we have another 20 points on the board from that first race and another podium is great for the Hydrex Honda team," said Easton.
"The bike is so fast on the straights but in some of the corners I wasn't able to put it on the line I wanted.
"Hopefully I can be up there again at Knockhill, getting another good start and repeating my recent form and hopefully grabbing another podium in the process."
Easton sits in third in the BSB championship standings with 140 points and trails second place Ellison by just 23.
