Amor left deflated after missing out on third straight Tourist Trophy podium
Keith Amor admitted his Isle of Man Tourist Trophy campaign is beginning to feel like one long day after missing out an third straight podium finish in Relentless Supersport race two.
Amor, from Falkirk, was riding the crest of a wave after finishing third in Tuesday's Relentless Supersport and Royal London 360 Superstock races but a lack of concentration cost him dear as he broke down on the last lap.
Persistent rain on the western part of the island wreaked havoc on the paddock as race officials postponed proceedings for more than three hours.
And the Wilson Craig Racing rider admitting to feeling deflated after constantly being left in the unknown as to when racing would get underway around the 37.73-mile Mountain Course.
"It's all been a bit surreal after the success of getting on the podium twice to be honest, one day just seems to be blending into the next," said Amor.
"It kind of deflates you when a race is postponed so many times" you get yourself ready for the race and then it is postponed.
"I thought before the race that it would come down to who was prepared to take chances and it turned out like that.
"It was a difficult race because some parts of the course were wet and others dry and it just makes it really difficult to get used to it and get settled in."
