Monarchs prepare for three-match weekend
Edinburgh Monarchs, with only one defeat in 12 matches so far this season, face a three-match weekend which will mould their season.
Monarchs host Reading at Armadale on Friday, travel to champions Rye House on Saturday and then face the struggling Mildenhall Fen Tigers away on Sunday.
Reading are expected to mount a challenge for the title this season and Rye House are also tipped to be there or thereabouts at the end of the season.
Captain Derek Sneddon knows it is a critical weekend ahead. “Everything is going well but nobody is getting ahead of themselves, or looking too far in the future, because that’s when things can go wrong," he said.
“It’s Reading this week and there’s no way anyone will be relaxing and thinking we are going to win, we will continue to believe we are going to get a tough meeting.
“It’s going to be a hard weekend – Rye House is always a tough one but we would like to think we are in with a chance at Mildenhall.”
