Tigers maul Monarchs

Glasgow beat Edinburgh rivals to claim Spring Trophy
Glasgow Tigers claimed the first silverware of the new season when they beat arch-rivals Edinburgh Monarchs over two legs to win the Spring Trophy.
Monarchs looked to have done enough in the first leg at Armadale - winning 55-39 - their ninth successive victory over the Tigers.
But Tigers came back in dramatic fashion at Ashfield to win 56-37, scoring a 5-1 in the final heat, to take the trophy on aggregate.
James Grieves scored 14 points, following up from his 12 in the first leg, and Shane Parker scored 12.
Ryan Fisher was top Monarch in the second leg, scoring 12 points.
