Open postponed

Edinburgh Monarchs have been forced to postpone the Homecoming Scottish Open until next year.

The orginal fixture, rained off earlier in the season, was due to be staged on Friday.

But Monarchs now have the second leg of their Elite League promoition match with Belle Vue
on that date.

Already a date of March 19 2010 has been pencilled in for the match.

Supporters can apply for refunds for tickets already purchased by November 7 but some fans have agreed to scrap their original tickets to help the club out financially.

Promoter John Campbell said, “This is a great gesture by these fans and they can be sure it will encourage us to press on and build another great team for the 2010 season.”
