Monarchs on the brink of season's first silverware
Edinburgh Monarchs are closing in on their first silverware of the season after reaching the Premier Trophy final.
Monarchs lost 46-44 to Reading Racers in the second leg of their semi-final but held a 22-point lead from the first leg.
It looked ominous early on for Monarchs when they trailed by six points after three heats but there was little doubt about the outcome.
American Ryan Fisher top scored with 12 points and Scots Derek Sneddon and William Lawson both scored eight.
Monarchs went through 100-80 on aggregate and now meet Birmingham in the final.
