Monarchs caught short

Wolverhampton snatch Elite League place from Monarchs
Edinburgh Monarchs' hopes of riding in the Elite League next season have been scuppered by Wolverhampton Wolves.
Monarchs lost the first leg of their play-off 53-37 on a cold night at Armadale making this week's second leg a formality.
The hosts were only four points adrift by heat nine but then lost four successive 5-1s as Wolves turned the screw.
Monarchs were not helped by falls to William Lawson and Ryan Fisher but there was a gulf in class between the teams.
Fisher did well to finish top scorer for the home side with 14 points.
