Monarchs Swoop for Schramm
Speedway: Schramm signs up for Edinburgh Monarchs

Edinburgh Monarchs have signed up Ipswich’s Chris Schramm for the Elite League play-off with Wolverhampton Wolves this weekend.
Schramm will come in for injured captain Derek Sneddon and give Monarchs a lift as they seek promotion to the top flight.
The rider had been one of the early choices to fill the gap but initially he felt that coming from a Thursday night meeting at Ipswich was too much.
However, once Monarchs had tried and failed to land any of the other suitable candidates – several have packed up for the season – they were faced with either using a junior or going back to one of the initial choices.
Chairman Alex Harkess felt that Schramm had been swithering about making the trip so he tried him again – and persuaded him to ride.
