Monarchs Cap Best-Ever Season

Monarchs reign supreme as kings of the Speedway season
Edinburgh Monarchs picked up their second piece of silverware by capturing the Premier Trophy with a 52-41 win at Birmingham Brummies.
Monarchs, the new league champions, already held a handsome lead from the first leg and took the trophy on a 117-65 aggregate.
American Ryan Fisher led the way with 17 points as Monarchs took complete control.
It made up for the disappointment of going out of the Knockout Cup to Workington on Saturday night.
"It is our best-ever season," beamed club director Mike Hunter, "It is the first time we've won two natoinal trophies in one season."
