Lawson reaches World under-21 finals
Edinburgh Monarchs' William Lawson has become the first Scot to reach the World Under-21 finals.
Lawson, from Auchterarder, claimed eight points in his semi-final at Rye House and will now compete in the final in the Czech Republic in October.
The Monarchs' rider won two of his five races and also secured two third places to underline his growing confidence.
Monarchs have made a terrific start to the season with Lawson a key rider for them.
The team is on the verge of the Premier Trophy final after beating Reading Racers in the first leg 56-34.
