Hawick’s Stuart Easton has had a busy week - claiming his debut MCE Insurance British Superbike victory before becoming a dad just 48 hours later.

Easton’s victory came at Croft on September 13 and with a baby boy Finley Stuart Easton arriving two days later the 26-year-old couldn’t hide his delight.

"I am currently on top of the world and I have just had the best few days of probably my whole life,” said Easton.

“I went with Claire to the doctors first thing on Monday morning and at 9am they sent us straight to the hospital, then at 2:30 this morning I became a dad.

“We have called our little boy, Finley Stuart Easton, he weighed just over six pounds and both he and Claire are doing well.

"I feel made up as everything in my life is working so well; with Finley and also our best results of the season at Croft, it has put me in such a positive mood now for the rest of the year.”
