Stuart Easton aiming to climb higher on the superbike podium
Scottish Superbike rider Stuart Easton insists he isn't happy playing second fiddle to the Airwaves Yamaha duo Leon Camier and James Ellison after again missing out on a top-two finish.
The 25-year-old finished third and fourth at round four of the Superbike Championship at Thruxton as Camier and teammate Ellison again reigned supreme, bagging a double one-two to strengthen their grip on the top two places in the drivers' standings.
And Easton, who is still looking for his maiden victory, admitted not challenging the best in the business was becoming increasingly frustrating.
"It was another podium so I am happy enough, the only thing was that I was a bit of the 'best of the rest', because the two Airwaves guys lead the way," said Easton.
"I need to close that gap and at least give them a run for their money instead of letting them have it their own way.
"I need to change the setting on the bike to really rival them, get some front hook up and if I get confidence in the front then you never know what can happen and hopefully I can push."
