No fears for Stuart Easton ahead of Snetterton showdown
Hawick superbike rider Stuart Easton insists he has no fears about ViSK British Superbike round five at Snetterton on Sunday, despite a high-speed horror crash at the Norfolk circuit 12 months ago.
The 25-year-old, under former employers MSS Colchester Kawasaki was thrown off his bike while travelling close to 193mph during qualifying last year but escaped with just a broken wrist.
Easton missed the next four rounds as a result but has already laid his Snetterton ghost to rest after testing at the 1.95-mile course with his Hydrex Honda team after the opening round at Brands Hatch.
The flying Scot completed 89 laps of the Norfolk circuit and has vowed to treat the course like no other as he bids for back-to-back podiums.
"We had a good test at Snetterton at around about the start of the season and things went pretty well there," said Easton, who sits third in the standings with 107 points, 60 away from leader Leon Camier.
"So I think we will be ok, personally I have just got to find some luck because I have finished a race in five attempts there.
"Obviously I had a crash there last year, but I won't be going out tentative or any different. Testing there earlier in the year really helped and it went well.
"But it is just another circuit for me with tarmac, straights and corners everything is the same and I will be giving it my all when I get there."
