Double win for Monarchs

Edinburgh Monarchs sign-off season on a high with double victory
Edinburgh Monarchs were celebrating a double triumph at the weekend as they seek to end their season on a high.
Monarchs completed the job of winning the Scottish Cup with a 57-35 second leg win over Glasgow Tigers at Ashfield.
But the tie was all but over after Monarchs cruised to a 60-30 first leg win earlier this month.
Monarchs also booked their place in the Premier League play-off final when they edged out Newcastle Diamonds in the second leg at Armadale.
Monarchs won by nine points on the night to make it 93-93 on aggregate but then Kevin Wolbert and Andrew Tully clinched victory in the second of two "golden races" to decide the outcome.
