Falkirk's Keith Amor claims first ever North West 200 podium
Falkirk's Keith Amor claimed his first ever North West 200 road race podium on a wet and windy weekend in Northern Ireland.
The Wilson Craig Honda rider finished third in the Superstock race after torrential rain forced proceedings to be reduced from six laps to just two.
Amor also finished seventh in the opening Superbike race but was forced out of the Supersport curtain raiser following mechanical problems on the first lap.
The flying Scot was left frustrated after continuous rain forced stewards to cancel the second races of the Superbike and Supersport classes, but insists he jets off to next month?s Isle of Man Tourist Trophy in good spirits.
"I was happy with third but would have been happier had the race gone the full distance," said Amor.
"I got my head down and worked my way up the field and the bike was working really well but then the rain came down heavily and it was right to stop the race.
"I was ready to go in the final two races so it was hugely disappointing when both of them were cancelled. It was a real shame but it was good to get on the podium."
