Gold for Spence

Mhairi Spence helped Great Britain to a team gold at the European Championships in Leipzig.

With Olympian Heather Fell taking an individual silver medal, it was left to Katy Livingston (10th) and Spence (12th) to bring it home for GB, finishing with a total of 5,328 points.

The placings comfortably gave Britain the title ahead of Russia and Hungary and gives them a boost ahead of the World Championships in London in August.

Kirriemuir's Louise Helyer was also competing and finished 22nd overall with 5,044 points.
