Scotland record World Cup win over Czech Republic
Scotland opened their World Cup campaign with a narrow 8-6 win over the Czech Republic in Prague.
The Scots lst and early goal but opened up a 3-1 lead over the hosts in the first half and, although the Czechs cut the deficit to one goal, Scotland led 5-3 at half-time.
The teams traded goals in the second half but Scotland held their advantage to secure victory.
Scotland now meet Germany, who lost heavily to Wales, in their next group match. Champions Australia started impressively with a 16-11 win over Canada.
