Play-off loss sees Scotland finish eighth at World Championships
Scotland lost their final match at the World Championships in Prague when they went down 11-7 to Japan.
It left the Scot in eighth place overall - two defeats at the hands of Wales earlier in the tournament causing most damage.
Scotland led three times early in the first half but were hit by four goals from Akiko Wando as Japan led 6-4 at half-time.
Japan held onto their lead in the second half to finish 7th in the tournament.
USA beat defending champions Australia 8-7 to take the gold medal with Canada taking bronze.
