Euan Burton wins one fight but fails to get amongst medals at Paris Grand Slam
World bronze medallist Euan Burton failed to get amongst the medals at the Paris Grand Slam as the countdown begins to 2012.
Burton won one fight but then lost to Ukraine's Mikalai Barkouski in his second bout in the Under-81kg class.
Edinburgh clubmate Sally Conway managed a fifth place in the women's under-70kg class but failed to get amongst the medals after losing to Marie Pasquet (France).
James Millar, also from the Edinburgh club, lost to eventual winner Dimitri Dragin (France) in the men's Under-60kg class.
It was a disappointing weekend for the British squad who returned home without a medal, the only other placing coming from Gemma Howell who was fifth in the Under-57kg event.
