Edinburgh Capitals have lost the services of Iain Bowie who has joined Sheffield Scimitars with immediate effect.

Capitals were unhappy to lose the services of such a promising young player but Bowie was keen to spread his wings.

Director of Hockey Doug Christiansen said: "Iain is a quality young player and he wanted more ice time with Sheffield's second team.

"Although I do not agree with his decision, I hope it works out well for Iain."
