Scotland coach Joss looking for strong showing against England
Scotland hockey coach Keith Joss believes his women's squad can lay down a marker for the European Championships in this weekend's friendly against England.
Joss has named a strong squad for the clash in Manchester with Olympian Laura Bartlett, Ailsa Robertson and Vikki Bunce all involved.
The Scottish team could face England again at the Rabo EuroHockey Nations Championships in Amsterdam in August and Joss insists his squad must shine this weekend.
"This is the start of our extensive training in the build up to Amsterdam," said Joss. "We are looking to develop strategies so that the players are comfortable going into the championships.
"England are preparing for the Champions Trophy in Sydney this July and will also compete at the European Championships.
"No doubt, they will provide us the usual stern test of skills, tactics and fitness levels."
