Joss looking for Germany scalp ahead of European Championships
Senior women's hockey coach Keith Joss is convinced his side can finally dine at the top table of European hockey at the EuroHockey Nations Championships next month.
Scotland will take on European Champions Germany in Hannover this weekend in the final leg of preparations before the tournament kicks off on August 22-29 in Amsterdam.
Joss's charges sit in pool B for the EuroHockey Nations Championships alongside Germany, Spain and Ireland and Joss believes the fine tuning against Germany will be vital to their hopes.
He said: "With the Championship competition less than four weeks away we are looking make sure we are playing well against the Germans in order to take the pitch confidently at the Europeans.
"It's a massive step forward for us to be able to compete with the likes of such teams and knowing that will help us push that extra bit more in Amsterdam.
"We've made an effort to play top level teams in our preparations so we know what we're up against, the girls are upbeat and ready for Amsterdam."
