Keith Joss takes positives from defeat to England
Scotland women's coach Keith Joss insists he can take heart from his side's performance despite watching England ease to victory in Manchester.
Goals from Kate Walsh, Kerry Williams, Hannah Macleod and Nic White saw off the Scots in the first of two friendlies between the sides this weekend.
Scotland threatened to get back into the game when Ailsa Robertson burst through the defence to power home and make it 2-1, before Nikki Kidd was only denied by a sharp save from England stopper Beth Storry.
"At this stage we are more than pleased with the performance and even the result," said Joss.
"We were very close to getting it back to 2-2, so it was the minute margins that made the difference.
"Obviously it's disappointing to lose but it's not the be all and end all so it's definitely not all doom and gloom.
"We wanted to work on a few things and we are quite happy with the way they turned out."
