Six Scots will be battling it out next week to remain part of Great Britian's World Class Handball Programme preparing for the 2012 Olympic Games.
Allan Stokes, Brian Bartlett, Chris Mohr, Johnnie McAleer, Scott Frew and Stuart Clark have all been training full time in Denmark for the past five months.
But with the season now at an end the group will return to Sheffield where the squad will be whittled down from 31 players to 21 at the end of an intensive week-long training camp.
Stokes, Bartlett, Mohr and McAleer are all experienced handball players while Frew and Clark joined the squad through the Sporting Giants initiative and have been playing for less than a year.
Those who make it will remain in Sheffield for the summer before returning to Denmark in the autumn to continue their development.
