Lynn McCafferty forced out of action with back injury
Great Britain captain Lynn McCafferty suffered another injury blow during training camp in Spain.
The Cumbernauld player, who was out for several months last year through injury, damaged her back after a fall in a 25-22 defeat from Spanish side Galicia and had to go off midway through the second half.
It was the first defeat at training camp as the GB team had already beaten La Guardia 34-33 Galicia 28-23 at the camp but were weakened when their captain went off.
GB recovered to beat Basque team Euskadi 31-29 in their final match on Sunday with McCafferty unable to take part and Solihull's Laura Innes taking over as captain.
It brought an end to a successful camp where the team won three of their four matches.
