McCafferty scores twice as GB win Four Nations tournament
Great Britain won the women's Four Nations tournament in Sheffield - with a helping hand from Scottish captain Lynn McCafferty.
The GB side beat Turkey Under-21s 22-13 and then Latvia 25-20 before losing their final match to the Faroes 16-15.
But the team did enough to win the event on goal difference - the key being the win over Latvia with McCafferty scoring twice and having a strong game in defence.
“It was an unbelievable result," she said, "We needed to work really hard against them because they are really tall and we had to work hard to get any goals in the net.
"We were a bit disappointed with our finishing, but we got the win so couldn’t have asked for anything better.”
McCafferty also scored in the final defeat by the Faroes.
