GB step-up

Scot Lynn McCafferty captains the Great Britain team for their crunch European Championship matches against Austria and France in Feldkirchen, Germany.

The GB team beat Finland over two legs to reach the group stages but now face a whole new ball game in the group stages.

After taking on the Austrians in Feldkirchen, the GB team returns home to face the mighty France at Crystal Palace on Saturday.

"Some of us saw Austria two years ago in the World Championships and you could tell that they were a good team," McCafferty outlined.

“We’re not stupid, we know we’re not a fully fitted team yet - we’ve still got some time to go and we’re going to play to our strengths; our goalkeeper, our defence our fast breaks and, again, we want to use these matches to improve our attack.”
