GB outclassed

Classy French too strong for GB in European Championships
Scot Lynn McCafferty scored twice against former world champions France at Crystal Palace but could not prevent Great Britain going down heavily in their European Championship group.
France took just 22 seconds to get on the scoresheet and then commanded throughout to win 42-16.
It was GB's second defeat in their group after going down 30-20 to Austria away from home in their first group match.
Head coach Jesper Holmris assessed: "I would have liked it to be a little bit closer, I would have liked it to be 35-16. They were too good, especially the physique of France. It was a good experience; we are playing one of the best teams in the world."
