Pamela sets sights on world crown

East Kilbride’s Pamela Clark, a four-time British Champion, now has her eyes on a world trampoline title.

The 13-year-old will travel to St Petersburg in Russia in November for the age-group world championships – and her preparation couldn’t have been more positive.

This month, she won the 13-14 years title at the Loule Cup in Portugal, while her record also shows victories in Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Belgium and the Czech Republic.

Cached by Olivia Sorbie at East Kilrbide, the cost of the world trip for the third year Calderglen High School pupil is £1,800 – and it has to be self-funded.

“It is going to be a lot of money, and my wife and I are also hoping to go out and watch so we would love to find some sort of sponsor,” said Pamela’s father, Robert Clark.
