Keatings wins Under-18 international

Scotland's Olympic hopeful Danny Keatings produced an all-time best 90 points in the all-round competition to win the individual event and lead Britain to victory in the Under-18 International against France, Germany and Switzerland in Monheim (GER).

The British team topped the charts by an impressive 15-point gap from Switzerland and it was a great fillip for Keatings, who trains with Paul Hall at Huntingdon in Cambridgeshire, in the build-up to next month's European Championships in Lausanne.

Keatings became Britain's youngest ever medallist with a silver in the pommel horse at last year's Europeans. This time, he will be hoping to take another stride towards snatching one of the two British Olympic spots for Beijing in August.

At the Europeans, from May 8-11, Keatings will be competing in both the senior and junior sections.
