

Glasgow set to host World Acrobatic Championships
Glasgow is set to enjoy a fortnight's feast of gymnastics in October having won the right feast to host one of the most prestigious events on the global calendar.
The World Acrobatic Championships will start on October 3 at the Kelvin Hall International Sports Arena and over 800 competitors from 22 nations are expected to take part.
The first week will dedicated to the junior age groups, and the seniors will compete in week two.
The World Acrobatic Championships will be another great showcase for Glasgow in the long build-up towards the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
Britain is one of the leading nations for Acrobatic Gymnasts and the cream of home talent will face competition from countries including Russia, USA, China, Australia, Germany, France, Spain and South Africa. The gymnasts compete as part of a team in pairs, trios or fours.
