Keatngs suffers shock early exit in Glasgow Grand Prix
A day after the GB Olympic team parade in London, Scot Danny Keatings was aiming to make a hit in his home country at the weekend’s Glasgow Grand Prix at the Kelvin Hall in Glasgow.
But the 18-year-od suffered a big blow when he fell on his Pommel Horse routine and could only finished 11th - missing out on the final.
Keatings’ Huntingdon clubmate – Olympic bronze medalist Louis Smith – did make it through, although only in the 7th of the eight qualifying spots.
Alhamad Nasar, representing Qaar, was the top qualifier.
