Watson can't save Europe

Watson win counts for nothing as USA claim junior Solheim Cup
Sally Wastson, the sole Scot in the team, won the top singles 4 and 3 against Jane Rah but couldn’t prevent Europe from sliding to a 15.5-8.5 defeat from the USA in the PING Junior Solheim Cup at Aurora Country Club in Illinois.
Leading 7.5-4.5 going into the singles, the result was wrapped up when Kristina Wong defeated Johanna Tillstrom 3 and 1 in the ninth tie.
But while her team lost, it was an impressive event for Watson. She contributed half a point in the foursomes and gave he side a great lad in the victory over Rah.
Next month, Sally, who has completed three years at the IMG David Leadbetter Academy in Florida, will be taking up a golf scholarship at Stanford University in California
