Sixteen-year-old Sammy Vass (Tain) caused a huge upset in the Scottish Women's Amateur Championship when she defeated top seed Kelsey MacDonald (Nairn Dunbar) by two holes at Lossiemouth.
Kelsey, who is just 17, had led the strokeplay qualifiers - Sammy had scraped though in last place after a play-off.
But it was the younger player, making her championship debut, who held the upper hand in the matchplay knock-out.
Kylie Walker (Buchanan Castle), one of the pre-tournament favourites, beat last year's finalist, Emily Ogilvy (Auchterarder) on the final green, while former champion Martine Pow (Selkirk) beat Emma Fairnie (Dunbar) 3 and 2.
